A serious accident has unfolded in Melbourne’s North-West at the showgrounds in Ascot Vale.

The Age’s Angus Delaney joined 3AW to report on the unfolding situation that occurred during the Supernova Convention, which was being held today.

“Police, a short time ago, confirmed one person has been killed after being hit by a car just outside the showgrounds,” Delaney said on 3AW.

“Witnesses say a grey Toyota has swerved across the road and struck a group of people.

“Another witness said the driver was behaving erratically.”
