The veterinary industry is navigating a difficult period as clinics across Victoria report a concerning surge in physical and verbal abuse from clients.

Speaking on 3AW Breakfast, Chief Veterinarian at Lort Smith Animal Hospital Dr Jessica Wild explained that this issue has persisted for “quite some time”, requiring vets to treat sick animals while simultaneously “counseling” their owners through trauma.
