‘Seems like madness’: Tom Elliott reacts to new gender neutral bathroom policy proposal
A new policy proposal suggesting that half of all new public building toilets be designated as “gender neutral” has sparked a sharp debate.
Tom Elliott questioned the necessity of the change, asking “who is this group of people that desperately wants and needs gender neutral toilets?”.
Director and Founder of Access Institute, Joe Manton, argued that “we need to acknowledge that everyone has the right to go to the toilet with comfort, safety and dignity”.

“I’ve asked every woman I know … related to, friends, colleagues … I haven’t found one woman who says that she wants to share a toilet with men … not one,” Elliott said.
