A new survey has revealed that many young Australians show little to no interest in military service; they would not fight for Australia if war broke out.

Joining 3AW Mornings with Tom Elliott, Director of Strategic Analysis Australia Michael Shoebridge said that although young people currently feel disinterested by the military, “when it’s existential, I think you’ll see a rapid behaviour shift”.

“I think a broader understanding of our history and the world’s history would make us very proud to be Australians,” added Shoebridge.
