There’s been fresh turmoil for the scandal-hit CFMEU.

Investigative reporter with The Age, Nick McKenzie, has reported government-appointed administrator Mark Irving has quit, in a major blow to Labor’s union clean-up.

It comes amid fresh misconduct allegations, ongoing corruption probes and escalating organised crime concerns linked to the construction sector.

“Now we have a fresh administrator coming in to try and fix this problem child in Victoria,” McKenzie said on 3AW Drive.

“It’s embarrassing.”
