Work has begun on a $134,000 sculpture honouring former Premier Daniel Andrews and his contribution to the state.

Jacqui Felgate had her say on the statue, saying there are people “more worthy” of a statue than the former Victorian Premier.

“The optics of it in the current environment, I think it’s just the worst possible timing,” the 3AW Drive host said.
