Multiple government officials have come under fire for allegedly exploiting the parliamentary expense system to travel for personal events.

Director of the Centre for Public Integrity, Geoffrey Watson SC, told Tom Elliott the system holding politicians to account needs to change.

“The fact that we are laughing about it is itself a sad reflection of just how bad this system is,” he said.
