Tom Elliott has shared his thoughts on Australian singer Robbie Mortimer’s rendition of the national anthem before the State of Origin match last night.

The 3AW Mornings host admitted he found it “very strange”, with the singer copping backlash online over the rendition.

“Robbie Mortimer butchered the national anthem,” Elliott said.
