On May 20, 2026, 18-year-old Bianca Adler became the youngest Australian to reach the summit of Mount Everest.

She told 3AW Breakfast hosts Ross Stevenson and Russel Howcroft that she had to include time to study in her climb.

“I tried my best to [study], but no one else was doing any work up there,” Ms Adler said.
