Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said more needed to be done to strengthen Australia’s social media ban on young people and his government was committed to doing it.

Former eSafety commissioner and special adviser to the prime minister on cybersecurity Alastair MacGibbon told 3AW Breakfast hosts Ross and Russel the government was trying to do the right thing.

“They are trying to protect a whole generation of children that didn’t sign up to the world’s greatest experiment of how you can wreck childhood,” he said.
