‘Explosive’: The state poll numbers that have shocked Tom Elliott
A new Redbridge poll has revealed a dramatic three-way split in Victorian politics and a historic slide in popularity for Premier Jacinta Allan.
Speaking to 3AW Mornings host Tom Elliott, Redbridge director Tony Barry said the current government should be deeply concerned by the results.
Press PLAY to hear Tony Barry explain why the state poll results will have the government worried
“Labor will be worried about making sure that’s locked in because they can’t afford to lose any more vote share … I don’t see them winning with a 26 per cent primary,” Mr Barry said.
Tom Elliott said he had to “crawl” back through the history books to find a Premier who rated so poorly.
Press PLAY to hear why he was both ‘fascinated and confused’
“The last one I could find who rated so badly was John Cain back in 1991, and this state was in a bad, bad way back then,” he said.
