Convicted killer Alicia Schiller has been approved to receive taxpayer-funded Ozempic jabs while serving a 16-year sentence in jail.

Opposition spokesman on police and corrections Brad Battin told 3AW Breakfast hosts Ross Stevenson and Russel Howcroft prisoners receiving this sort of treatment “is becoming standard”.

“If you’re in prison you should be just put on the elective surgery list, why do you get pushed up the chain while you’re in jail?” he said.
