Jacqui Felgate has weighed in on the Department of Premier and Cabinet’s creation of an executive Multicultural Coordinator-General position.

And it’s set to cost taxpayers a LOT of money.

“This is why as a state we are in so much debt,” the 3AW Drive host said.

Press PLAY to find out the exorbitant salary for the role

“This is why our public service is so bloated.”

Press PLAY to hear what the role entails (and Jacqui Felgate’s further questioning)

“In this climate, it seems like a lot of money, but I think that the market determines the kind of salary that you pay these people,” Carmel Guerra, CEO of Centre for Multicultural Youth Victoria Australia, said.

“This is not in line with reality,” Felgate said after the interview.
