Jetstar to charge passengers for overhead baggage space
Jetstar passengers will have to pay extra for an overhead locker, with a standard fare soon to only include an “underseat” item.
Federal secretary of the Flight Attendants Association of Australia Teri O’Toole told 3AW Breakfast hosts Ross Stevenson and Russel Howcroft this change will provide some welcome relief for flight attendant staff.
Press PLAY to hear how much Jetstar will charge for overhead baggage space
“The start of the day for work is always fighting with people over not enough luggage space for the bags that they bring on,” she said.
Travellers with underseat bags only will no longer have to comply with the seven-kilogram weight limit.
