Canada faced similar issues around the illegal tobacco trade in the 1990s to what parts of Australia are facing today.

3AW Mornings host Tom Elliott asked if Canada was able to solve this problem over 30 years ago, why Australia could not follow suit.

“It’s so obvious what we should do here when it comes to illegal cigarettes,” he said.
