Jacinta Allan makes decision on upcoming state election
Former Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan has confirmed she will not contest her seat of Bendigo East at the November state election.
At the announcement on Friday morning, Allan said she was proud of what she had achieved.

“I was the youngest woman to be elected to the Victorian parliament, and I was proudly the first Labor member for the seat of Bendigo East,” she said.
Current Premier of Victoria Ben Carroll released a statement following the news, where he thanked Jacinta Allan for her “decades of dedicated service, leadership and friendship”.
