Concerns rise over legislative management of ‘smart glasses’ amid popularity spike
The Albanese government is considering an import ban on “smart glasses”.

“I really don’t know how we are going to, as a society as a whole, tackle this,” he said.
Human rights lawyer Lizzie O’Shea told 3AW Mornings host Tom Elliott producers of smart glasses have some responsibility to protect privacy and personal data.

“People who make money off these kinds of products and services need to be thinking pretty carefully about how they can introduce design changes that protect people,” she said.
