‘Confusing and strange’: Real estate expert calls out Anika Wells’ Ooshie comparison
Federal Communications Minister Anika Wells posted a video on social media using ‘Ooshies’ to defend the federal government’s changes to negative gearing and CGT as part of its May budget.
Real Estate Institute of Victoria chief executive Toby Balazs told 3AW Mornings host Tom Elliott the video comparing Ooshie toys to houses was “confusing” and “strange”.

“We are facing some real challenges in the housing market and to have it made almost comical, or be so irrelevant to bring it into some sort of Ooshie market, it’s very strange,” he said.
