Former Premier Jeff Kennett has hit back at current state leader Ben Carroll, for describing the decision to honour former leaders with a statue as a “stupid waste of money”.

Premier Carroll has scrapped plans to honour Daniel Andrews, with the money to be directed elsewhere, and Mr Kennett agrees with the decision, stating Victoria can no longer afford it.

“He (Carroll) is upset isn’t he?,” Mr Kennett told Jacqui Felgate on 3AW Drive.
