Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police, Mike Bush, has defended the decision to close public counters at four inner Melbourne police stations.

Counters at Collingwood, Fitzroy, Southbank and North Melbourne will no longer have police officers on the front desk from next month.

“We will come to you, don’t come to us,” Bush told Jacqui Felgate on 3AW Drive.
