Labour-hire companies affiliated with the CFMEU donated money to Labor politicians and the Victorian Labor Party, it was revealed on Thursday.

Centre for Public Integrity director Geoffrey Watson SC told 3AW Mornings host Tom Elliott that these sorts of situations break trust in local communities.

“Everybody in the community loses trust. It’s just a really awful, insidious feeling,” he said.
