Politicians from major parties came out in support of Federal Transport Minister Catherine King accepting a lifetime ‘platinum’ status from Qantas.

3AW Mornings host Tom Elliott said that no one in politics wanted to criticise King over the deal in the hope that they might also receive a similar benefit in the future.

“The Liberals agree with it, Labor agrees with it, they all think it’s absolutely fantastic because they are in on it too,” he said.
