Tom Elliott takes ‘hypocritical’ Fremantle to task over Woodside Energy criticism
Tom Elliott had a message for Fremantle fans, players and executives who are opposed to the club’s partnership with large oil and gas company, Woodside Energy.
A movement called ‘Get Off My Chest’ has been set up by high-profile fans including musicians John Butler and Kevin Parker (Tame Impala), urging fans to tape over the Woodside logo on the Dockers guernsey, with club captain Alex Pearce glad the pressure has been put on the partnership.
And the 3AW Mornings host has labelled the criticism “hypocritical”.

“Don’t benefit from oil and gas, and then say oh you wish you weren’t sponsored by it,” Elliott said.
