An unfortunate story out of the new Footscray Hospital has been brought to light on 3AW Drive.

Rowena joined Jacqui Felgate to explain what happened when her 83-year-old father started experiencing heart and breathing problems.

“He was unresponsive, his breathing was heavy and we were beside ourselves,” Rowena said.

“The government isn’t properly funding the people that work in these hospitals,” the 3AW Drive host said.

“It’s all well and good to build them, it’s how we staff them.”
