New details have come to light following the horrific Port Melbourne home invasion on Wednesday.

Jacqui Felgate spoke to victim Daniel, stating it was “one of the more extraordinary” interviews she’s ever done, and spoke through the latest details today to start her show.

“Yesterday we were told that he got bail, but it’s almost worse what happened,” the 3AW Drive host said.

“I just don’t know how that would happen in any other jurisdiction in this country.”

Port Melbourne resident Jess expressed her frustration with local MP Nina Taylor and magistrates, after talking through the latest home invasion, with her neighbour’s house also targeted by the same youth offender.

“We need the magistrates to protect us and defend us,” Jess said.
