Gerard Healy thinks the Federer v Nadal final was one of Melbourne’s greatest nights of sport.

It’s a big call for a town that’s seen some of history’s greatest sporting moments, but few events put Melbourne on the world stage like the Australian Open.

And few debates rage more fiercely than who is the greatest tennis player of all time.

‘If it’s not the sporting highlight of the year, I’d like to be at the game or contest that is,’ Gerard said.

‘This was a moment in world sport that is going to impact for 100 years.’

Dwayne Russell thinks Gerard might have a point.

‘They were two artists last night,’ Dwayne said.
