Whispers puts a dollar figure on the gap between the AFL and the players
Sports Today’s super-snoop Whispers believes he knows how far the AFL is from an agreement with the players over pay.
The Players’ Association is demanding a percentage of the game’s revenue as part of the new collective bargaining agreement, but the AFL is resisting.
Whispers understands the gap between the AFL and the players stands at around $35m per year.
He said the AFL thinks the public is on the side of the game.
