Tradies have hit back at claims “cashies” are costing Australia a whopping $25 billion in tax.

But they do concede it’s a problem.

Phil Dywer, president of the Builders Collective of Australia, spoke with Tom Elliott on Friday.

“I don’t think it’s as big as is being suggested,” the 3AW Drive host said.

“But we have a lot of fraudulent activity.”
