There are reports security agencies floated the idea of digging a channel similar to a moat around Parliament House in Canberra to increase security.

But it got Justin and Kate thinking on 3AW Breakfast what the cost would be to build a moat around your home.

Phil Dwyer, president of the Builders Collective of Australia, had never been asked the question before….

‘Just think of the ramifications…you’d have to have a drawbridge!’

‘You’ve got to be looking at 100,000.’

And would he take on the job if he got the call up from Canberra?

‘Oh why ever not?!’
