Over the top or fair enough?

Former Prime Minister Bob Hawke was captured on camera skolling a beer at the SCG on Friday in what has become an annual event.

Mr Hawke, 88, started sinking his beer when he noticed the Channel 9 camera had panned to him.

However, barely anybody in the crowd noticed.

Newsbreaker Mitch Cleary said Cricket Australia took it off the big screen due to its “responsible consumption of alcohol policy.”
