A resident is concerned grass on Patterson River in Bonbeach is a fire risk heading into summer. 

3AW Mornings listener Chris sent in this photo, saying she was concerned about the lack of maintenance. 

She says it is over one and a half metres high.

On one side of the bike path, the grass is left to go wild. She says it’s an issue for snakes and fire.

‘It’s a real concern for fire,’ she told Tony Jones.

‘It’s a disaster waiting to happen.’

Chris contacts Kingston Council frequently to alert them to the issue.
