Former senator and depression sufferer Jacqui Lambie holds fears for Barnaby Joyce’s well-being.

Mr Joyce has come under strong criticism in recent days for comments regarding the paternity of the child of his partner, Vikki Campion.

In a wide-ranging interview with Neil Mitchell following the release of her autobiography, Ms Lambie described the fallen Deputy Prime Minister’s recent behaviour as “quite erratic”.

“I am concerned about his mental health,” she said.

“He’s starting to get quite erratic and that’s really bothering me.

“I think it’s about time someone else stepped in and said ‘Barnaby, enough.’

“I am really concern about his watching from the outside.”
