Derryn Hinch and Tony Jones have clashed on 3AW over the Senator’s support for the Greens bid to legalise marijuana.

Hinch said he backed the bid because it made sense.

Hinch: It’s a natural thing.

TJ: It’s an illegal thing.

Hinch: Yes, because we made it illegal.

TJ: Because it’s bad for you.

Hinch: Well, therefore, you’d ban alcohol and cigarettes.
