RUMOUR CONFIRMED

Workers at Note Printing Australia will strike for the first time in the company’s 105 years of operation.

During this morning’s Rumour File, Ross and John were told this Friday history would be made when workers from “an industry crucial to us all” would strike over a pay dispute.

Mick Bull, from the Australian Manufacturer Worker’s Union told 3AW Breakfast workers will start protected industrial action mid week, culminating in the strike at the end of the week.

“There’ll be a 24-hour strike on Friday and we’ll take it from there and see what happens,” Mick said.

“They also supply a lot of overseas currency too so they have plenty of work, a lot of south-eastern Asian countries.”
