Swinburne University evacuated following reports of gas leak

More than 500 people have been evacuated from Swinburne University at Hawthorn following reports of a gas leak.
An alarm was activated in the basement science technology labs.
The cause of the leak, if there is one, has not yet been confirmed.
The MFB, police and Ambulance Victoria are at the scene.
