British political drama: PM May survives leadership challenge

Theresa May retains the leadership with a result of 200-117.
EARLIER
British Prime Minister Theresa May has made a last minute plea for stability with her leadership set to undergo its biggest challenge this morning.
Conservative MPs will have a confidence vote about 7am as anger about her handling of Brexit intensifies.
In a defiant speech overnight, Ms May said the challenge to her leadership risks delaying or even stopping Brexit and warns a leadership change would put the country’s future at risk.
Theo Usherwood, political editor at LBC, told Ross and John “she will survive this confidence motion”.
But he doesn’t expect Ms May to see out her term.
