One of Melbourne’s highest profile chefs has slammed so-called ‘backyard cooks’ selling food over social media sites such as Facebook Marketplace.

The Herald Sun today reported the Restaurant and Catering Industry Association of Australia was warning against buying delicacies from the backyard cooks.

Shane Delia, TV host and owner of Maha and Biggie Smalls, told 3AW Breakfast the practice “winds me up”.
