Two city-bound lanes of the West Gate Bridge were closed following a peak-hour crash this morning.

It’s believed one person was trapped inside a Mazda 2 on the bridge while emergency services are weaved through stalled traffic to attend the scene.

The two right-hand lanes were closed a short distance past Williamstown Road.
