The Director of Public Prosecutions has appealed the sentence handed to Borce Ristevski.

The DPP says the nine-year term of imprisonment, with a non-parole period of six years, is “manifestly inadequate”.

Ristevski pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of his wife Karen.

With time already served, he could leave prison on parole in December 2023.
