A man has been found dead in a Wallacedale dam.

It’s believed to be the body of an 84-year-old man who went missing on Thursday.

Police confirmed on Friday they’d found the body and while it’s yet to be formally identified, they believe it to be the missing Macarthur man.

Police have been searching for the man after his ute was swept into floodwaters near Ryans Road yesterday.

Investigators do not believe the death is suspicious.
