Barnaby Joyce fails to win back National Party leadership
Barnaby Joyce’s crack at regaining the National Party leadership has failed.
The former Deputy Prime Minister was seeking to reclaim that position on Tuesday with a leadership spill.
But Mr Joyce did not have the numbers.
Michael McCormack retained the leadership.
David Littleproud is his new deputy.
Mr Joyce stood down from the role in February 2018 after facing sustained pressure to quit following revelations of his affair with a former staffer.
