Why the tap-and-go payment limit is being doubled from next week

Shoppers using tap-and-go payments at the checkout will be able to make purchases of up to $200 from next week.
It had previously been a limit of $100.
It’s being raised to stop people having to touch EFTPOS machines at the checkout, amid the coronavirus pandemic.
