‘A big problem’: Alarming state of Australia’s navy revealed
Australia’s naval capability has come under sharp criticism, with concerns we may not be able to deploy a warship to Iran even if required.
Speaking on 3AW Breakfast, defence expert Michael Shoebridge said the issue is not a lack of resources, but rather “a failure of imagination and of our political leadership”.
Despite billions of dollars being invested into the navy under a long-promised continuous shipbuilding program, Shoebridge said the outcome has fallen short.
