A different name for Melbourne’s ‘pantscraper’

The ‘pantscraper’ on Collins Street has been given the go ahead.

But Ross and John reckon Melbourne can give it a better name.

An in-principle agreement has been reached between the Andrews government and developer Cbus Property after it agreed to cut more than 20 metres from the top of the interconnected twin towers.

There had previously been concerns about the amount of shadow it would create over the Yarra River.

But not everyone’s convinced by the structure’s appearance.

‘It looks like Donald Trump’s hair,’ quipped Ross and 3AW Breakfast.

‘Trouser-Tower’ was thrown up as a popular suggestion for its re-naming.
