A Friend in the Garden

We love our pet dogs and cats, but this week listener Lyn has told us of a different kind of creature in her garden! 

She’s told us she’s had a St Andrew’s Cross Spider bunk in with her for more than two weeks!  

But she tells us he’s ‘quite a good guy who just eats insects.’

It’s the first time she’s spotted one in her garden. 

‘I check on him each morning and have a chat. I think he likes it here!!’ 

She tells us the web is extremely fine, and the spider sits with its legs in pairs stretched across the white cross.
