A Liberal MP explains why young Aussies aren’t becoming conservative

A Liberal Party member says the Party is failing to connect with young people on the mediums they use.

Joe McCracken, member for the Western Victoria Region says, young Australians aren’t becoming conservative because they have nothing to “conserve.”

“You look at housing affordability at the moment and it’s incredibly difficult for people … to have the aspiration of owning a home, owning your own piece of land … when you’ve got nothing to preserve, when you’ve got nothing to look after, when you’ve got nothing to own youself – then why would you?” he told Tom Elliott, filling in for Neil Mitchell.
