‘A number of people’ injured by falling tree branch near St Kilda Road

A tree branch has fallen near St Kilda Road, injuring a number of people.

Ambulance Victoria has confirmed it was treating multiple patients after the branch reportedly fell on Union Street on Thursday morning.

A woman, aged in her 40s, was taken to The Alfred in a stable condition with a back injury.

A man, aged in his 30s, was also taken to The Alfred in a stable condition with a head injury.
