‘A win-win’: Peter Ford gives his take on the Matildas and subsequent TV ratings

Entertainment reporter Peter Ford has weighed in on the rise in popularity of the Matildas, and the subsequent TV ratings of their semi-final loss night to England.

Ford said he “could not be less interested” if he was asked to watch the Matildas a month ago, but admits “he got into it”.

“The whole thing has been a win-win,” Ford told Ross and Russel.
