AACTA Awards in Sydney recognise Aussie film legends

?Cate Blanchett has wept with joy accepting the Longford Lyell award for her unwavering commitment to the industry at the AACTA awards at The Star, Sydney.

‘I’ve become one of those ridiculous people that cry,’ she said.

George Miller celebrated his best director award while his film Mad Max: Fury Road took home the best film gong.

Other winners include Sigrid Thornton, Judy Davis, Michael Caton and Kate Winslet.
