ABC to ditch live radio coverage of Olympic Games next year

The ABC won’t have live radio coverage at next year’s Olympic Games.

It’ll be the first time the national broadcaster hasn’t broadcast the Olympics live on radio since 1952.

“I think it’s very unfortunate,” Glenn Mitchell, who covered four games with the ABC, told Tom Elliott.

“History would indicate that once something disappears, I don’t know if it will be coming back.”
